River Light Vs. Chicago Dutch Lions Preview, 6/28

In a season of firsts, River Light FC will play its final USL W regular season match against the Chicago Dutch Lions FC on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Lights will finish off their debut campaign against the team they debuted against. In the first game of the season, River Light put eight past the Dutch Lions thanks to four goals from Mackenzie Anthony

Since that first game, the Dutch Lions have dropped eight matches, only bringing back victories against Chicago City SC and RKC Third Coast. Sitting near the bottom of the Heartland Division, the Dutch Lions will look to end the season on a high note.

River Light has been on a hot streak winning their past five games of the season while only conceding twice. River Light most recently defeated Chicago City 4-0 in a game that saw a Anya Gulbrandsen brace and first half strikes from Devin Lynch and Anthony.

With playoffs all but secured, a victory in their final game of the season will play a big part in extending their season past today. Even though it’s not a home game, you can still come out to Spartan Athletic Park to cheer on River Light in their final regular season match!
