Fox Valley based club set to kick-off first USL League Two season in 2024
January 11, 2024, AURORA, Illinois - River Light FC, the Fox Valley-based and newest USL League Two club, has introduced its inaugural kits and sponsor ahead of its debut in 2024.
The club’s first jersey boldly features the map of downtown Aurora, which is amplified by the team’s primary colors in both its home and away versions. To mark River Light FC’s connection with our fans, the team will watermark the names of fans on the inaugural kits.
“When we looked at what our kit should celebrate in our inaugural year, it became so important that we honor the city that we call home,” said Heather Bickerton, general manager of River Light FC. “We kept coming back to the map of downtown Aurora. Why? There’s so much symbolism in not only the community's history, but you can see the power of the Fox River in such a beautiful way. For us, there was no better way to pay homage in our first year by celebrating our home in this striking way.”
In addition to the unveiling of the inaugural kits, the team has also announced its first major front-of-jersey sponsor with a new partnership with Bazooka, a worldwide brand providing goals and equipment to some of the biggest academies, schools and professional teams.
“Our collaboration with Bazooka is really an incredible way for us to continue to build our community,” Bickerton continued. “With some of the best products for professional and team training, they will clearly help us continue to build support for the world’s greatest sport right in our own backyard.”
