Despite dreary conditions and a damp pitch at Aurora Spartan Complex, The River

Light FC Women powered through to a 3-0 victory, building a momentous record

of 2-0 start to the season.

In the 34th minute, Calli Chiarelli sent a long ball from the left side of the field over to Syndi Fink. Fink then took control and maneuvered the ball past a defender and into the upper left side of the net.

Just two minutes into the second half, a Sioux Falls own goal pushed River Light’s lead to two.

Fink would be instrumental again in the 65th minute, assisting Xcaret Pineda in her straight on goal shot resulting in River Light’s second goal.

Balancing the offense's shining display, the defense had also had a share of the victory. Molly Vapensky kept a clean sheet and earned five saves.
